Christopher: Hi. Welcome to the Gores. I am back and I wanted to read some scripture to you today that I have found to be very, very enlightening. And I think it will help you.

Father, I thank you for this Word. I thank you for your Word and how you have, dwelt among us in flesh and in blood. And you are the embodiment of your Word. And as we go forth in the Scriptures in this hour, I thank you, Father God, for enlightening our spirits, lifting us up and bringing us into a new place in you.

So the first scripture I want to talk about is First Timothy, chapter 4, verses 10 to 14. It is for this that we labor and strive, often called to account because we have fixed our confident hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe in him, recognize him as the Son of God, and accept him as Savior and Lord. Keep commanding and teaching these things. Verse 12. Let no one look down on you because of your youth, but be an example and set a pattern for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in moral purity. Until I come, devote yourself to public reading of Scripture, to preaching, and to teaching the sound doctrine of God's Word.

Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, that special endowment which was intentionally bestowed on you by the Holy Spirit through prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands on you at your ordination. The reason why I find this Word so enlightening is because there are members of the body of Christ who were not teaching their people. And this is a worldwide epidemic. You know, we've talked before on this program about how there is a famine for the preaching of the Word, of God in God said it was going to be in these last days. So even the more we need to be secure. We need to be rooted and grounded in his concepts and his precepts.

Because we're being bombarded day in and day out with lies, with deceptions, with delusions that are keeping us from understanding who God is. And you need to have that daily infilling of the Word. There's scriptures that talk about renewing your mind, and you renew your mind by the Word of God. Let's look at our next scripture. It's Matthew 28, 1920, and I'm reading from the amplified version. Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations. Help the people to learn of me, believe in me and obey my words, baptizing them in the name of the Father and and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, remaining with you perpetually, regardless of circumstances and on every occasion even to the end of the age.

Very, very important scripture. Again, these are the words of Jesus. He was talking to his disciples, he was telling them they have a responsibility to teach the word of God. And you as a believer, you have that same responsibility. You have that same gifting and authority that God has placed in you. And the only way that we're going to learn about God is to study God. And me and my wife got into an interesting discussion last night because we were talking about how many people in the body of Christ today unfortunately don't have a real salvation experience.

They have intellectual assent, they have a mental head knowledge of what the right thing is to do. And you don't have to be a Christian to do the right thing. You can be an atheist and do the right thing, you can be a Buddhist and do the right thing. But what is the God thing that needs to be done? You're not going to know that unless you have a personal relationship with God, unless you have been born again of the water and of the blood. And then that application has to be watered constantly with the Word, constantly in the Word, constantly seeking God's face. This is what you're supposed to do as a Christian. This is what you're supposed to do as a believer in Christ.

Christopher: These are the basic things that Paul taught, that Season taught his disciples. Let's look at our next scripture. Second Timothy 3, verses 16 to 17. All scripture is God breathed, given by divine inspiration and is profitable for instruction, for conviction of sin, for correction of error and restoration to obedience, for training in righteousness, learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately, behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

These are things that you as a believer need to do. These are things that the Scriptures teach us that we have to teach. You know, my wife and I also got in a discussion about we learned how to self feed. What does that mean? We study the Word of God. We listen at the Word of God, we read the word of God, we listen at different teachers and different ministers from the perspective of we need to be constantly being infield with God because we want God, we want truth, we want his righteousness. And those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. What does the Word of God say? It says that they will be filled, they will be filled. I want to thank you for listening. At the Gores, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we're so excited to have you with us to be a part of our wordcast. Thank you and God bless.
